Adjust your expectations

Weight loss is a much slower process than most people want it to be. Although it is possible to loose weight fast in the beginning, people think they’re loosing momentum and very few people can continue to loose weight at a rate of more than one to two pounds per week.

Many people have unrealistic expectations about what is achievable with healthy diet and exercise and the truth is not everyone can look like an amazing instagram fitness model or bodybuilder. The photos you see in magazines or social media are usual photoshopped and almost nobody looks like that in real life.

If you already lost some weight and feel good about yourself but the scale doesn’t want to move any further then perhaps you should start working on accepting your body the way that it is. At some point your weight is going to reach a healthy set point where your body feels comfortable and you’re lean, healthy and look good. Trying to go beyond this may not be worth the effort and it may even be impossible for you.

Never compare yourself to others. Bring out your own qualities; stop trying to be someone you’re not and start building the best version of yourself.
